Math: We are working on numbers 1-120
This quarter we will work with addition/subtraction, using tens, number lines, tens and ones, continue to work with telling time to the hour and half hour, measure using standard and non-standard base (cubes, paper clips, rulers, etc) and collecting and reading data.
Writing - It is a good idea to have plenty of small notebooks, handwriting tablets, journals, composition notebooks, etc. This way your child can practice writing letters, stories, shopping lists of their own. The main idea, is to get your students to see the importance of writing. We talk about having "Beautiful Handwriting" and you can remind your student of this during homework as well.
Science- we are working with plants, seeds, parts of a plant, and what plants and animals need to survive. We will also talk about living things found in North Carolina.
